Spa And Wellness
Guests were consistently impressed by the spa facilities, describing them as a highlight of their stay. The spa offers a variety of treatments, including a 90-minute deep tissue massage that left guests feeling 'completely blissed out'. The sauna and relaxation room, with stunning views of the Matterhorn, were particularly appreciated. Many guests spent their afternoons enjoying the spa, which they described as 'incredible' and 'worth going to the hotel just for the spa.'.
Service And Staff
The service at the hotel was frequently praised for its attentiveness and warmth. Guests noted the professionalism and kindness of staff members, such as Olivier, the restaurant manager, who 'made us feel truly welcome'. The front desk staff, including a memorable Czech employee, were highlighted for their friendliness and efficiency. Additionally, the shuttle service provided by staff, like the driver from Barcelona, was appreciated for being attentive and engaging.
Location And Views
The hotel's location in Zermatt offers breathtaking views of the Matterhorn, which guests enjoyed from their rooms and the terrace. The proximity to hiking trails and the ease of access to the town were also noted as significant advantages. Common criticisms
Room Service
While the overall dining experience at the hotel was highly praised, room service received some criticism. One guest mentioned that the room service burger was 'overcooked and tough,' which was disappointing after a long day of hiking. This was particularly noted given the high price of 40CHF per burger. Despite this, the guest still recommended the hotel, indicating that this was a minor issue in an otherwise exceptional stay.
Vegetarian Options
Some guests felt that the vegetarian options at the hotel's restaurants could be improved. While the food was generally described as 'delicious' with a good selection, one guest noted that 'more choice for vegetarians would enhance the offer'. This suggests that while the dining experience was positive, expanding the menu to include more vegetarian dishes could cater to a wider range of dietary preferences.
