Turkey has quietly become one of Europe's winter and spring training destinations. The climate allows play from March to November, court fees are a fraction of central European prices, and the resorts with courts are full all-inclusive hotels, so the rest of the family is on the beach while you play.

Every hotel here has tennis courts, and we have ranked them by how much sport they offer overall — the resorts at the top combine tennis with a gym, water sports and a full activity programme. The 30 hotels have an average guest rating of 4.6 out of 5, most of them in Belek, Kemer and Antalya.

Worth checking before you book: court surface (many Turkish resorts have clay as well as hard courts), whether floodlights are available for evening play, and whether rackets, balls and coaching are included or charged separately. Most hotels include court use for guests and charge for lessons.
