Hotels in the Heart of Town

Large resorts are built to keep you inside them. That suits many holidays, but not every one — sometimes you want to walk out of the lobby into a real town, have a coffee where locals sit, browse the market and come back whenever you like.

Every hotel on this page is in the centre of its town, all of them within a couple of hundred metres of the main streets. We have picked 30, mostly in Kemer, Side and Alanya, with an average guest rating of 4.5 out of 5.

A central location changes the trip: no taxi for dinner, no waiting for a hotel shuttle, and evenings that can end in a bar or at the seafront promenade instead of the hotel bar. It is worth remembering the trade-off, too — a town-centre hotel is livelier and can be noisier than a resort behind its own gates, so if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the street.
